How we research
Last updated 13 Oct 2026
HomeSimBay is a research guide, not a testing lab. We do not own every launch monitor on this site and we do not hit balls into them for reviews. What we do is collect what manufacturers, software makers and authorised retailers publish, put it side by side in one consistent format, and show where every number came from.
Where the data comes from
We use sources in this order of preference:
- The manufacturer's own product page, manual or support article.
- The software maker's list of supported launch monitors.
- An authorised retailer's product page, for prices and package contents.
- A published review, only when the first three say nothing.
Forum posts are useful for finding questions people ask, but we never use them as the only source for a spec. When two credible sources disagree, we show the manufacturer's figure and say that the sources differ.
Every figure is dated
Prices, subscriptions and software support change often. Each fact on a model page has a numbered source with the date we last checked it. If we could not confirm something, the page says “Not confirmed” instead of guessing.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help gather sources, keep the data up to date and draft explanatory text. Every change, whether a new page or an updated price, is reviewed and approved by a human editor before it is published, and the editor is responsible for what appears here. Calculations, such as the room sizes in the Bay Sizer, come from the published manufacturer distances, not from a model's guess.
Money
Some retailer links earn us a commission. That never decides what a page says: the data is the same whether a product has an affiliate program or not, and products without one are listed in full. See the affiliate disclosure.
Found a mistake?
Email hello@homesimbay.com with the page and what is wrong, ideally with a link to the source. We fix confirmed errors and update the checked date.
